HANDMADE BOOKS

I took my first handmade bookbinding workshop in July, 2009: “Book Arts” taught by Valerie Carrigan at Art New England / Mass College of Art in Bennington College, Vermont. It was a fast-paced fun survey of crafts skills and creative challenges.
Final projects displayed for open studio that were completed during five days in my first bookbinding class.

Table lamps were provided by the ANE program.

Paste Paper, made from acrylic paint and methyl cellulose on Mohawk Vellum was used to decorate hardcover bound books and as wrappers.
